Since September, CG have competed in 11 secondary school games (SSG) events. Thanks to coming 2nd in the District Athletics event we were leaders of the overall league by just one point. Rainham Girls have won SSG nine years in a row up to this point and this would have been there 10th year! This is a massive achievement with it being only our 2nd year entering! Last year we finished 3rd and schools were definitely aware this year of CG which made it even more difficult for us. This puts added pressure on the team but when you have results like this it makes it worth it. The buzz last week for the staff and students was an unbelievable feeling. The students put in 110% effort to trainings and all competitions we have entered. They are encouraging of their team mates, show sportsmanship and are a credit to the school and we are incredibly proud of their achievements and we hope it will continue.
