Our free University Super Saturdays with the University of Kent are a series of three Saturday events that will be hosted at Chatham Grammar. They will be delivered by University of Kent post-graduate students overseen by the University of Kent Drama department and UKAT’s Wellbeing lead Jo Price. Year 4 and 5 students are being invited to attend on the 12th, 19th and 26th March 2022.
The Super Saturdays have a creative and wellbeing theme; students will be able to work with puppets, including super-sized ones. Students will develop skills around creating, structuring, and sharing stories using inventive language and exploring movement.
The wellbeing focus will give students the opportunity to work with Jo Price who will be delivering a fun and educational experience, consisting of a unique combination of mindfulness, brain theory and relaxing meditations, developing the importance of having a connection with the world around us. We are hopeful one of UKAT’s newest therapy dogs, Aslan the puppy, will be attending too!
