On 5th May all Year 7 and Year 8 students took part in the world’s largest online maths event, a Mathletics challenge to celebrate #WorldMathsDay.
Approximately 2 million students from 150 countries around the world answered more than 500 million maths questions. Students played against others from around the world as well as challenging their peers.
The competition was fierce and Chatham Grammar year 8 students placed 6th in the UK, with Year 7 placing 19th.
The Year 7 and 8 students embraced this event and worked really hard to achieve their best.
Our top mathletes were:
Diana from 7K2 - with 433 points making her best in her year, and best in the Academy.
Faaiqa from 8P1 - with 398 points making her best in her year and placing her 37th in the country!
Well done to all Year 7 and 8 students who took part, we have some great Mathletes!!!!
