The Chatham Grammar Experience - Terms 5/6
The Chatham Grammar Experience is a series of FREE taster workshops on offer after school to engage and inspire students about their primary transition to secondary education.
Students in Year 5 from Medway schools are being offered the opportunity to participate in our workshops in Terms 5 and 6. Arrival and registration will be from 4pm and workshops will run from 4.15pm until 5.15pm.

Super Saturdays with the University of Kent
Our Elements of Discovery workshop is a one-off session that took place on 11th May 2024 for Year 4 and 5 students attending our partnership schools. Full details have been sent out.
The Elements of Discovery workshop is an opportunity to discover more about science! The periodic table is more than just a list of chemical elements. It’s a masterpiece of science that reveals the hidden order and beauty of the natural world.
During the session, students will have the unique opportunity to engage with safe elements in their natural form as well as learning the layout of the periodic table by participating in our periodic table themed games and and jigsaws!

FREE Medway Test (11+) Tuition Webinar for Year 5 Students
Students in Year 5 are being offered the opportunity to participate in a series of FREE bespoke Medway Test (11+) webinars. These will be delivered online.
Due to the recent changes to the Medway Test (11+), our webinars will now cover the three revised topic areas within the Medway Test (11+) which are: Reasoning, Maths, Comprehension & SPaG.
The webinars will be delivered by Claire Hitchcock from Spark Learning Centre, who has successfully delivered several workshops on behalf of Chatham Grammar and has over 15 years experience delivering 11+ tuition.

Who’s Who Mentoring Programme
The Who's Who Mentoring Programme, is an interactive World of Careers workshop which is a fun and interactive activity for Year 6 students to support exploring career ideas.
The 45-minute session will include a game, discussion, and personality quiz along with free resources for students to keep. Followed by a 20-minute talk from one of our ex-students, Esther who is now a successful local illustrator running her own company.
Russ, the Director of Careers Guidance Charts is a careers professional with over 15 years of experience working with both adults and students, companies, and schools. He has developed a wide range of resources to support careers education in schools. Russ currently splits his time between his business, private careers work and being employed by a local housing association in their careers department.
Russ has delivered several successful careers events for UKAT including a Careers Speed Event with a focus on STEM companies for our students to participate in.
